For me the most important and enjoyable element of realising any design is detailed design; exploring tectonic possibilities to achieve the most technical sound detail that also enhances and characterises the space in question.

A long standing interest and involvement in building, underpinned by my father's job as a construction manager, culminating in recent employment on a construction site. I spent 4 months working for the bricklaying firm on a large scale residential development in East London. I was responsible for installing cavity trays, wall ties, insulation and cavity closers on a metsec/concrete construction in compliance with drawings from the architect and consultants.
