This modest home had to provide contemporary living spaces for a small family as well as a workspace for the florist husband. Built around a small courtyard a key concept was the integrated use of both internal and external spaces making the courtyard a space for work, relaxation and socialising. Constructed in load bearing masonry this project was an exploration into both technical detailing as well the tectonic and sensual qualities of brick.
